Caleb’s Masks

Tomorrow is Friday and I have been disappointed in myself that yet another week has come and gone and I hadn’t posted for Illustration Friday. Then this evening at the end of yoga when I was supposed to be concentrating only on my breathing I remembered the theater masks a friend of mine from church asked me to draw. He said he was going to have one tattooed on each arm, but I don’t think he ever did. I prefer to create something new in response to the prompt each week, but surely something a few months old is better than nothing?

I also want to share a link to the site after the pencil soars through where I have been honored as the first blog featured on “Prolific Blog of the Month.” I have not been prolific at all the past month, but I am now inspired to try and start creating and posting on a regular basis again. Thanks so much flawsnall.

I had plans to do a sensitive little watercolor of my daughter in her tutu for this prompt, but somehow it’s already Thursday and I’m out of time. I’ve been doodling this lady all week between tasks at work and she seems to be perfectly poised and sure of herself, so here she is.
